How to take pictures from your miniatures?

Hi Jaro,

i would like to request a tutorial (or maybe just a few hints?) on how you take the pictures of your miniatures. The quality of your photography is incredible and I am almost certain that you use high class equipment for that? Do you use a macro or close-up lens? What lights do you use to get these very vibrant colors with the completly black background? Do you knock the background later in image editing software? I figure that the surface is a kind of glass from the subtle reflection?

I would find a tutorial on this topic very helpful and hope that others agree with me. Basicly everybody likes to share high quality pictures of his painted miniatures ;-)

Best Regards

Fantastic! This would be my choice over a painting tutorial this month actually.
