Hi Jaroslaw,
I wish a certain balance of 40K and WHFB Tutorials.
I look at the pool and see 5vs2 - So if you do not want to lose your WHFB Subscribers after a year, you should think about it.
Hi,
I try to make tutorials related to all popular systems. Next 30 days you will see probably equal number of wfb and wh40k tutorials. But I cannot influence on demand of Subscribers.
Maybe someone will propose a solution that will make all subscribers happy? Sharing the months?
Simple Answer here....
one month 40k
next month WFB
next month Independent
then repeat....
4x 40k 4x WFB & 4x Independent... per year.
Happy days. =)
With dark elves coming out within weeks I'm hoping to see some DE kits done. I would like to see some organic kits vs. mechanical kits as sometimes organic matter can be a bit more tricky to airbrush
Hi Jaroslaw,
please don't get me wrong, i fully understand that you mostly paint what the subscribers vote, but i think there are a lot of fantasy players here that simply NEVER approaching the 40k playerbase here - Unfortunately, I think that we see only 40k Stuff in the future what makes me sad.
for example your last work:
Dark Angels Asmodai
Eldar Falcon
Eldar Hunter
Be'Lakor Deamon Prince
Tau Riptide Battlesuite
Eldar Wraithknight
Dark Angels Tactical Squad
...as you can see 40k.
Unfortunately, you have completely ignored the Lizardmen Release. There are incredibly sophisticated models in the Lizardmen Relase like the Cranosaur which is really awesome and which is much more challenging to paint than the Eldar ships or the other 2-3 Color huge models like Riptide, Wraithknight or the Ships. Even the bastilidon or Terradon is more difficult to make as the above enumerated.
Then there's a problem with the Sweepstakes/Raffle.
As I understand you can only win the model, when I voted for it, right?
In this case, I wait until the end of the Vote and just Vote a few Minutes/Hours before the Vote ends for the Modell with the most Votes. The vote is even more distorted.
I therefore propose:
On the Raffle participate all who vote.
We need a cycle for 40k/WHFB like Chunkys idea OR 2 Votes 1 for 40K 1 for WHFB if you going to paint 2 Models in a month.
And please don't get me wrong! I watch all your videos and appreciate your work - all you've done are just awesome, but I want/wish me a bit of balance and variety.
Regards
patrick
I'm an Eldar player so im really happy with your tutorial but it seems there're people who wants Fantasy videos too so i expect some of the new Dark Elves models to be painted.
The Khaine's Blood Cauldron would be a perfect mini to be painted by your hands.
can you please make a short how-to video about applying varnish to your models?
how do you dillute them? how can i prevent, that i don't mess up my whole work.
i tried vallejo matt satin varnish once, and it was way too thick to use it properly.
and how many coats do you apply?
best wishes, rage
No offence to anyone here, but I think that Jaroslaw is doing an awesome job, and he is trying to accommodate everyone. I'm a solid WHFB Skaven player and modeling hundreds of slaves is an pain, but the tutorials that he has presented on 40K models helped me with my Skaven army. The point of tutorial is to teach you different painting, shading and modeling techniques and not just copy verbatim what Jaroslaw is doing. If you have question regarding a technique, or how he is doing something on a model, why don't you ask him how you can use that on your models. Last time i checked colour themes, shades and blends don't care on what model they are used. It's like learning math for the first time... the teacher shows you how to count apples, but you go home and have a hissy fit because you got oranges instead, but that dont mean you can't apply the lesson learned.
Jaroslaw, thank you for doing all these tutorials, they for sure have helped me out with my painting and modeling skills. My models are no longer plain and boring, they have a bit of character now and they are more pleasant to look at and play with. Keep up the awesome job you are doing.
