Indeed, I paid for a subscription and there was the promise of regular material. If not then Jaroslaw may be creating some dissatisfied customers.
Ordo, it hasn't even been a month yet - the last content was uploaded on August 13th.
BUT, to be clear, I agree; the lack of content updates is disappointing. When the tutorials were free on youtube, Jaroslaw updated weekly.
More worrying is the total lack of communication. With no word from Jaro, there's no way to tell if we're being scammed, or something terrible has happened in his life that precludes his updating the service.
Jaro, please respond to the forums or contact emails. A little communication would go a long way to easing user frustration.
The lack of communication is pissing me off tbh. I agree that Jaroslaw has done an amazing job on youtube earlier, but that is part of building a business. You have to work hard to create a customer base. Now comes the time to provide the service that was promised upon payment.
This is me speaking as a self employed man. If I just stopped taking care of my customers, I'd be going out of business, and fast. If there's things in your private life preventing you from providing your service, the professional thing is to notify your customers and apologise dearly for it.
Holiday time or not (Which it isn't in the USA) There should be a post or short video explaining that there will be a delay in the next video for that very reason. If I just disappeared from my laser cut business without letting people know, I'd have not business to come back to.
As someone who paid for the whole year, I'm beginning to feel bamboozled. Tripwire said it best, when it was free there were more frequent updates than there are now that I pay for the service.
I am afraid that I too am beginning to feel bamboozled. I also paid for a year, and this unannounced absence is unacceptable in a subscription service.
I talked to a close friend of Jaro and he also did not hear anything from him.
I always try to avoid doom-scenario's, as they are usually false. But try to believe he has a good reason to not be able to reply (Maybe something happend to him or a close relative).
I hope he will be posting again soon! Untill then I just hope he's ok :).
(p.s. I understand that it is more difficult to stay calm if you payed for a commision allready, but try anyway :) )

I've been wondering where Jaro had gone too... in his absence from BuyPainted I was viewing his older videos out of withdrawal symptoms that helped me find the link to this site, without further ado I signed up right away thinking jaro's BuyPainted site was abandoned for this one & now after subscribing to a full year I'm still no better off??
One can only HOPE that nothing bad has happened?? as that would truly be terrible for us all in my humble opinion.... Jaro & his videos have been inspirational & helpful beyond compare so much so that I can hold my hands up & honestly say Jaro has taught me, through the medium of his videos, more than any-other!!
Jaro Please come back I've still soooo much I want to learn...
Though I'm more than happy to view my subscription fee as a payment for all the enjoyment Jaroslaw brought me on Youtube, I too am getting a bit impatient.

I hope hes ok and has a genuine reason for this and didn't just do a quick lust hurrah and take our sub money.
this is so weird, Jaro would not have done this for a 'last hurrah', because he stands to make much more if he got people that subbed for one month to make it a year, and by continuing to promote it here and on buypainted would easily increase subscibers since it is still early days. Unless the plan is to do that and he got cold feet after doing it to us.
In saying that I really hope we hear from him soon and get an explanation and can continue on. I valued this site and would have paid more for the potential it held, but no communication is seriously suspicious, even if personal issues are occurring.
He made some money out of this website, but I doubt it's enough to stop working.
Honestly, if my fans reacted this way, I would also stay away. Like I said before, I really think he has some personal issues to work on and I think he's just not able to post here (I really hope not because of some injury).
For now I am still learning from all his old content, and patiently waiting for new.
So again: please stay calm and enjoy all the videos he allready made :), I'm sure you did not learn all you could from them allready!

@thepaintedminiatures. I don't believe that our discussing our concerns is justification to stay away, but the opposite. If any of us started our own business we would be exposed to the same duties. I will admit that I regret presuming he had done something dishonest, that was very poor form from me. However I did it only along the lines of trying to point out why I thought it was illogical. At the same time though, there are people out there who may come across buypainted on youtube, see the ad for this site, and then may sign up without reading anything about the situation. To accept money from those people without making any disclosure about short term problems and plans/discussion about the future is bad business. This means a lot to him and all of us, and therefore it is baffling why if something has happened, why noone affiliated with him has made an effort to inform his customers.

I am one of those people... Jaro hasn't posted anything since before I joined & paid up for a years subscription, therefore Shorey's point is wholly valid in every sense of the word.
Granted I can watch the exclusive content by my joining & I was more than happy to pay to join if it meant I gained access to his videos more often than would have been available to non-paying 'Buypainted' watchers & although no new content has been added since I joined I'm happy to consider the fee I paid, a gift to Jaro for ALL the things I have already learnt from him.
that said this does not prevent others from joining without the knowledge that there may not be another video update for sometime or 'god-forbid' ever!! As I have said above, I truly hope nothing bad has happen in Jaro's life or to him personally. Although the lack of any update on the forum let alone in video form does suggest that this may in-fact be the case... though I really hope I'm wrong.
I've tried to contact him through buypainted.com as well, but got no response. He provided professional level tutorials on youtube at no cost for years, so I have a hard time believing he's taken everyone's money as a scam. Unfortunately, it leaves the very real possibility that something terrible happened to him that caused the updates to stop.
Does anyone here speak polish? Maybe you could do a google search of local news events and see if there are any hits on his name.

I'm happy to do whatever with the subscription fee; he can keep the money, as I have watched his videos hundreds of times on youtube (seriously, I'd say I've watched each video at least 3-5 times), and Jaro has given me thousands of times my money's worth over the years.
However, I suppose I just expected a regular schedule. If you're only putting up a video a month, it's cool: just let us know. Five exclusive videos and three painting tutorials a year? No problem: Just let us know.
I really hope that Jaro's safe and sound, and so is his family. If there's personal stuff, I hope that he's knows he could simply say, "I need one month or more off; my wife's sick (or whatever); please understand," and I know that most of us would understand.
