I agree, a varnish tutorial would be nice. My airbrush constantly cloggs up after a couple of sprays when using the Valejoy varnishes.
I agree that if you clogg you need to thin it more. My problem is that if I use satin varnish, it becomes flat. If I use Gloss varnish, it becomes shiny (both very obvious). But when I mix them, I still do not get the same result as Buypainted.
And I know he has alot of work, but Im afraid to start painting again because I will need to varnish in between and ruin the paintjob (my last work was, in my oppinion, good.. but with a better varnish it would have been better :) ).
Can't help you with that one!
I think Jaroslaw will be able to answer that one for yuou ;)
hmmm, I used Vallejo Satin Varnish and Gloss Varnish yesterday and today with out clogging at all with out thinner.
I did have the compressor up high though... so maybe thats why.
I wash trying to do a bit of Oil washing on a riptide. The Gloss Definitely worked out better.
I found getting the right consistency of the wash the hardest bit.
Hope he gets the time to answer this thread.

Hi Jaro hope your health is improving.
Can I just draw your attention to this thread. If possible a detailed tutorial on all apsects of varnishing in preparation for washes would be much appreciated (which varnish, which thinner, compressor Pressure etc). I think this is important as once a model has been fully painted with a great result it is most worrying to then have to take the step of covering the model in varnish and wash which has the chance of wrecking the good work done so far. So a technical tutorial on this whole subject would be much appreciated by all I am sure.
Cheers
