What satin varnish do you use? And do you thin it at all when applying it to a model?
Also, do you have a local store you buy these items from on a regular basis or an online store you go to for your modelling supplies?
Thanks!
Hi!
What brushes do you use? Kolinsky sable or synthetic? What sizes do you use the most?
Greetings
Chrysotil
I am also interested in varnish that you are using.
Thank you in advance,

Regarding the varnish, how much do you apply before oil wash? I recently varnished with Vallejo satin varnish (applied with airbrush) and used too much because it dis-coloured the model and i had to strip the paint off start again.
Also, what pressure do you set your air-compressor to when you paint finer details?
Thank you :-)

Hi, first thanks for the reply and videos.
My question is: will you do a tutorial for Wood Elf Glade Guard?
How to use green stuff right?

Hi,
I love your tutorials, and I intend to start airbrushing myself, though I haven't started yet. Could you please talk a bit about what types of airbrushes you use, and more specifically, recommended tip gauge sizes for 40k models? Thank you!

In addition to the previous airbrush question, can you briefly cover about how much acrylic paint, and how much thinner, you use in your airbrush to paint something space marine sized, thank you.
Hi Jaro
I would also like to know what brushes you use for all your various painting elements... i.e. a breakdown list of the brushes you use for fine detail, edge lining, liquid gold etc.
additionally could you do a breakdown of what airbrushes you use & the type (& frequency) of maintenance you do, if any??
Thank you
Keep up the great work!!

I also want to know how much gloss varnish u use before oil wash. in your vids the wash flows in the recesses by its own. on my models it sticks on the same place without flowing in the recesses. that is quite frustrating because there were some models I messed up because of this. I am using the same oil colours as in your vids and art turpetine for mixing.
Hello, i really liked your first answer video.
I would love it you could go over varnishing more in detail.
im having huge issues try to get a good finish on my models, i´ve tried a ton of different brands(both aerosol and from bottles), different thinning ratios(different thinning mediums aswell), different applications, both by brush and airbrush, with matt varnish i get that stupid frosting on some areas every time.
Same with satin varnish, i get frosting and/or small particles on the surface. and i´ve allways been careful with stirring/shaking beforehand, even tried heating it in hot water beforehand. This problem is driving me insane as i dont really want to paint anymore until i get this issue solved.
Thanks
i had the same problems, now i use evo 2 in 1 airbrush, vallejo satin varnish and vallejo glaze medium 50/50 and a little bit isopropanol or a clear window cleaner. But for all my airbrush problems was glaze medium the solution. For painting metallics too.
